The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque was the biggest mosque in Oman when I still lived there with my family. It’s relatively new as it was established in 2001. It also holds the world’s second largest hand woven carpet and chandelier. The building has the capacity to hold up to 20,000 worshippers.
